Animal Control
Proposal
The successful proposal will include the following services.
Daily (Monday through Friday) patrol the City and County to capture animals freely roaming the
community.
Answer calls from our Dispatcher within 30 minutes.
Call every person that contacts the Dispatcher about an animal control issue within one hour.
Answer after-hours emergency calls within one hour. (Emergency calls are defined as a possible rabid animal or
an attack on a person.)
Provide all necessary tools and equipment to accomplish animal control services.
Proper disposal of all unwanted animals captured.
Obtain and maintain certification by the Georgia Department of Agriculture for animal control services.
To include proper documentation of animals and proper operation of the facilities required.
An option to be considered is the use and operation of the Hawkinsville/Pulaski County Animal Control facility.
The City of Hawkinsville is willing for the contractor to utilize the existing facility in our community.
Terms for that use will be negotiated and included in the service
contract.
